Thursday, April 17th:  Join friends of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust as they kick off their 2008 eco-tours with: “A Walk through the Wildflowers” at the Hambidge Center.  A moderate hike followed by a visit to the Art in Nature Pottery Show and lunch.  Call HCLT for info: 526.1111.

Saturday, April 19th : HCLT will co-host Earth Day along with Jackson-Macon Conservation Alliance & Upper Cullasaja Watershed Association on Saturday, April 19 at the Village Green in Cashiers from 11 to 4, rain or shine. Come enjoy live music, food, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle, games, a bald eagle, lots of information and fun for all ages. Free to all.

Friday, May 2nd : Join friends of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust for “WILDflowers at Whitewater Falls”.  This challenging hike will include amazing views and lunch on the trail. Call HCLT for info: 526.1111.

Friday, May 16th: Join friends of Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust for a tour of the beautiful “Smith Gardens.”  A leisurely stroll through Barbara and Richard Smith’s beautiful gardens.  Call HCLT for info: 526.1111.

May through September : The Village Nature Series is a free summertime lecture series co-hosted by Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust & Village Green.  Everyone is welcome.  Lectures are held at the Albert Carlton Library in Cashiers. Lectures begin at 6:30 PM.  Refreshments follow. There is no charge but donations are graciously accepted. Call HCLT at 526-1111 for more info.
