Brushy Face Trail Extension Grand Opening!
June 20th, 1PM to 3PM - Join us as we celebrate National Trails Day by opening our newest trail addition in Highlands! The original trail on the Brushy Face Preserve was completed in the summer of 2017 and runs from the cul-de-sac on Brushy Face Road to the edge of U.S. 28. The extension built this year creates a loop that connects to the existing trail. We will provide light refreshments and a volunteer appreciation ceremony will be held at 1:30PM at the trail head on Brushy Face Road. A non-formal hike will follow the ceremony.
Saturday, September 29 - In celebration of the first property HCLT conserved in 1909, Satulah Mountain Preserve, and all of the 3,000 acres of special places they’ve protected since, join the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust for their Third Annual Satulah-bration! Start the weekend off with a guided hike to the summit of Satulah on Friday, then join us on Saturday at the Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park for a Chili Cook-Off!
