Monthly Volunteer Work Days - Every 2nd Tuesday

HCLT will be having our monthly volunteer trail building workdays on the second Tuesday of each month. Come join us in clearing and building trail on a new trail section of the Brushy Face Preserve! We need your help to finish this trail!

MEET AT TRAILHEAD @ 9:30AM: We will meet at the trailhead for the Brushy Face Preserve at 9:30am Tuesday morning and then will begin working on the trail together (DIRECTIONS BELOW). We will be working in small groups at multiple locations along the trail in order to comply with social distancing.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring a pair of work gloves, water, and wear rugged weather appropriate clothing and shoes for working in and getting dirty! We will provide the appropriate tools needed to work on the trail.

PLEASE REGISTER TO ATTEND or express any questions or concerns by contacting Stephanie Dillingham, AmeriCorps Member at stephaniehitrust@earthlink.net or 828-526-1111.

DIRECTIONS: Directions to Brushy Face Preserve: From Highlands, go 1.3 miles down US-28 South and turn right onto Brushy Face Road. Take the immediate left onto Old Pine Drive and the next left onto Pineland Drive. As the road loops, continue along until you see the trailhead. Parking is available along the road.

Workdays for Groups

Do you have a group of eager volunteers who would like to help out on the trail? We can arrange a work day for your group that fits with your schedule. Contact Stephanie Dillingham to coordinate a workday for your group.
